I think the numbers for 2002 will probably come in
close to what Matin released prematurely... What I would
be more concerned with right now would be the numbers for the
last two quarters...
If the company had a major screw-up with its transportation division over this span, than the stock may not go anywhere, regardless of how the 2002 audit pans out...
Matin's comment in June that things were looking up for the company is a bright note, but this comment seems to have
been directed towards the apparel division...If we are
looking at major write-offs due to the trucking operations,
then we may have to wait a bit longer for the stock to get
to higher levels.
In any case the audit, together with a dynamic public relations program could go a long way in restoring
investor confidence. I'll go out on a limb and say that
the company will probably announce a stock buy-back
program as part of its quarterly report in order to provide
support for the stock. Hints have also been made that
a move to the OTC-BB is also cotemplated.
In any case, if Matin was genuine in saying that he was going to make Veltex a "respectable" company, then I suspect
we are going to hear some favorable news in the near
future... So if you stuck it out this long...hang on..
