No tone at all and the point re the B-24 is taken. You seem to read a lot and widely and then apply what you have read across disciplines. I think as a nation we should do more of that. The incandescent light bulb is about 5% efficient, the florescent about 20% and the lightning bug (I'm less sure here) about 85%. I think computers are aiding in the convergence of the physical and biological sciences because of easier access to the info.
