I've found this to be true generally. In most (all?) stocks where someone on the thread has a direct line to the CEO and has updates and secret information, it ends badly.
The CEO ALWAYS fails to follow through as promised (some come closer than others, but promises are never fully kept). Expectations on the board are not met, infighting breaks out, the people who got played by the CEO enjoy their status for a little while but always it ends in acrimony. The messenger usually leaves the thread, sometimes they are banned.
And finally, because of the unrealistic expectations, there are bagholders and lots of 'em.
This is a general statement. Apply it to EQBM as you see fit.
