"Who does the bashing serve?" it usually serves those who want shares to go down in price (shorters and others who might want to buy/get in at a cheaper price) and sometimes it will serve those who want to put a company out of business/eliminate competition and/or take all their assets for almost nothin' (shorting is usually used along with many other tactics to achieve...though i don't support this type of stuff at all. it is easier to destroy most things than it is to create, develop, maintain and/or improve just about anything) more power to the good folks.
