I think dlr is just bitter that Wall Street is still not rewarding Intel for better performance. I have said it here many times that Intel won't be rewarded until their balance sheets show actual GROWTH. It would have to be something that outperforms the market in general, because even Intel at $20 has a healthy P/E by today's EPS. And even if you look at 2007 EPS, it's still fairly healthy for a company growing at a steady single digit percentage (the rate of the CPU market). If Intel can do better than this, they will be rewarded. It's actually a tall order in the face of competition from AMD that will result in margin erosion from a price war, and a number of uncertain lawsuits and IRS charges. Investors have reason to be skeptical. The best we have to rely on is good technology. In my experience, good technology has always won out in the end, but we'll have to see if Intel can do it.
