Even mainstream protestants will understand that they won't like their kids listening to the Muslim call to prayer, a recitation from the Torah, or whatever the Wiccans come up with piped over the public school intercom. I hope.

Good. How about these which read pretty right to me too -- Why do people keep using the term "Christofascism" even though fascism is incompatible with Christ's teachings?

If Jesus would come back zoday and by chance land in a bible belt town and start to preach, the “Christians” there would most likely either trow him out of their town for being a leftist socialist or even shoot him if he insists that he is Jesus, the son of God.

Why? Because those Christofascists do not care about the teaching of Christ, they want a validation of their bigotry and hate. They behave like the Taliban just under the name of Chrsit instead of Mohammed.

Women need to cover up ✔️

Education for Women? Waste of time, they should marry as soon as possible

Equal rights for all people? - Why? Black and PoC are not equal to us.

Same sex couples or homosexual/trans/ etc.people? - stone them to death or put them in jail or send them to camps.

Forced births? - ✔️

That is just a small part of what they want to do and they have already succeded in parts when a few of them on the Supreme Court axed Roe vs. Wade.

Inprison or shooting/hanging of political opponents? - yepp they already talked about that.

They want the whole country turned into a nation where they can freely do all of the above and more.

If you have learnt anything about WW II, then you should already know that this looks a lot like the Nazi regime. That is why they are called Christofascists

Is fascism actually bad, or was it just being used by the wrong people?

This is the type of question that has to be answered very carefully, or it can be misconstrued.

By “Fascism,” I am going to answer this according to the ideal of Fascism, the economic and social theory of society and governance as invented by Gabriele D’Annuzio and his followers and Benito Mussolini, not later developments of Fascism like Nazism. Fascism is corporatist, ultra-nationalist, and militarist. There is no racism in it; as I’ve said before, until he became completely dependent on Nazi Germany, Mussolini didn’t care what race you were or what else you believed, so long as you were for Fascist Italy.

Fascist economic theory is amazingly effective. It’s restored prosperity and drastically expanded the economy of every country where it’s been tried. The “corporate state” model, as implemented in Fascist states, allows for the industrialists to compete, but requires them to compete to produce goods that the government’s plan outlines. It comes about as close to maximizing the resources of the state, while still providing much incentive to excel (contrast this to the “state capitalist” model of the Soviet Union, where everyone worked directly for the state and there was little incentive to excel). On the other hand, the Fascist system probably isn’t sustainable long-term; it’s very much a system that concentrates wealth at the top; i.e. “the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.” But in the short term, when properly implemented, it works.

Unfortunately, there’s not much else positive you can say about it. I have no problem with nationalism, but extremist nationalism combined with militarism is dangerous. And there’s been a decided lack of civil liberties in every Fascist society; there had to be, because in order to work, Fascism requires the conformance of the population. As Mussolini himself said:

The keystone of the Fascist doctrine is its conception of the State, of its essence, its functions, and its aims. For Fascism the State is absolute, individuals and groups relative.

That’s not a philosophy I can endorse. There’s more to life than a strong economy and making the trains run on time (which Mussolini actually did do), and it’s not worth the loss of freedom.
