The ice shanty is "anticipated" to be ready for the '27-'28 ice fishing season. It is "expected" to debut on Upper Trout Lake during the Vilas County Ice Fishing Rodeo (that's pronounced ROW-DAY-OH for the non-Cheeseconsinites who are noncognoscenti of Norffwoods ways).
The GEMZ ice shanty MUST have a keg cooler (quarter and half-barrel), as that is a shanty building code requirement in all of Cheeseconsin. Satellite TV to watch the Packers and Badger games will become a code requirement in 2026. Pizza oven and vented grill are also standard equipment. Modern shanties are essentially fully ~OUTTfitted mancaves that can be pulled on ice by any 6x6 5-ton military truck or a Cat D5 or higher.
What is really funny is that some folks reading this prolly think I am joking. They obviously have no comprehension of Norffwoods ice fishing culture.
