I get the feeling that cricket was created by a handful of people who couldn't play golf... or by kids using anything and everything laying around to play a game of baseball in the street. We had garbage can lids and someones stuffed t-shirts and underwear for bases.

You use what you got and made rules anytime for the game where you're at.
