See my post below on abuse of process. You might have missed that. The attorneys, and entire law firm, are as appropriate a target for the countersuit as the plaintiff is. Judges aren't generally fond of having their courtroom and time tied up in petty litigation, especially from serial litigants. They'd rather be in chambers. So it isn't likely anyone would get a lot of resistance from that direction. BTW, judges are allowed to pursue sanctions on their own and may be likely to when having their eyes opened to serial scamming through the countersuit.
