Nice post Argyll. And the farther east you get in Montana the windier it gets. There are many wind-generators near Livingston, Mt. and they have been there for years. I've never been to the Fort Peck Res., but if I know Eastern Montana like I know Eastern Montana, and any other plains/rolling hills state there is wind-o-plenty.
Half the cost, greater efficiency... we know Fort Peck last year put up two wind mills to study all aspects of a said project, seems to me NVMG just put their foot in the door! I wasn't concerned with anything else but oil till now,,Go get`em NVMG!!
Traveling through Northern PA. recently, Carbondale area as I recall, and came upon some of those big ash wind mills, 30 or so on the side of a mountain LOL.... Friggin things are about 250'+ high.... It was quite a sight that's for damn sure...
