The one thing about growing old, I like what I like. Ameritrade was just easy to navigate. All of my stock lists that were refined over the years, I transferred them myself to another trading house. But the quickness of dumping positions is what I miss. Buying is one thing, but selling is my paycheck.

About 25 yrs with TDA, now Schwab. Schwab kept the best of the best trading platforms from TDA, which is ThinkOrSwim. They still have both the web version and desktop. I haven't seen anything that can beat it. Options, equities, and futures. Active day trading to long term investments, 1000 studies, patterns, drawings, heat maps, scans, you can make a thousand watch lists if you care to. If you can't find the study you like, you can write your own script, and there is help on that or one can download different scripts from the professionals at Schwab. Single, multiple, or saved orders, buying, selling, shorting all in an instant. Monitoring, probability analysis, risk profiles, simulated trades, education videos from beginners to advanced. Access multiple accounts on a mouse click. Live news, economic data, earnings, level II, active time and sales, day or extended hrs, play money or real, one monitor or ten with a separate grid for each monitor. Grids can be one cell or stock or 24 cells and different stocks. The list is just too long. One can start with the basic or simple usage of it and go to more advanced when you get the hang of the app. They have in app help files, learning center, and videos for any of it. They still have online classes for free for beginners to advanced.

TOS has a really neat "thinkback" option where you can go through previous live charting and trade the exact same market days, weeks, or months before. Obviously when it switches into that mode your trading with fake money. Sorry no mulligans, but you can review what you did right or wrong and "retrade" the action with fake money, heck of a learning tool.

Really can't say enough about it, ThinkOrSwim has earned the awards it has won. Highly recommend.

Here's a few of the education coaches at Schwab that came over from TDA that have classes and instructions, but there are quite a few more. They are there willing and paid to help and many of them have lists of scripts that can be shared to TOS. Under "setup" then "open shared items...", copy code, name, and you have it for your own charts. Good luck.
