you thought it made a lot of sense to run around the site attacking myself and the site?

It happens more than you think. I'd be reading a board and all of a sudden a post comes up either attacking you or Ihub. It's an old trick on Ihub. They can't get what they want on this board or via PM so they air their complaints elsewhere.
