This morning, President Biden announced that he is committing to two Presidential debates with Donald Trump this election cycle. In the video, President Biden notes that Trump had been acting like he wants to debate Biden. Now, Biden calls Trump's bluff and commits to two debates.

Trump aides are "irked" that President Biden has seized control of the narrative surrounding the 2024 presidential debates, according to CNN reporter Kristen Holmes.

"They're a little bit irked now," Holmes said. "The fact that Biden somehow took over the debate narrative, despite the fact that Donald Trump has really been using this as a narrative at all his campaign rallies; up on stage with an empty podium, no one there, saying 'come debate me.'"

President Biden accepted the call to debate Trump in a series of posts on X Wednesday, stating, "I’ve received and accepted an invitation from @CNN for a debate on June 27th. Over to you, Donald. As you said: anywhere, any time, any place."

Biden then posted a video laying down the challenge directly to Trump saying, "Make my day, pal. I hear you're free on Wednesdays," a brutal clap back to the disgraced former ex-President whose N.Y. criminal election interference trial is in recess on Wednesdays.

Donald Trump lost two debates to me in 2020. Since then, he hasn’t shown up for a debate.

Donald Trump has been using his call to debate President Biden as a common talking point for over year on the campaign trail, but now that Biden has agreed and the debates are set, Trump world seems to be scrambling about how to respond.

The first response was to attack Biden's choice of networks to give the impression the debate would be rigged, with Fox Host Kayleigh McEnany saying that the Biden campaign "clearly wanted CNN. They wanted this to be two on one instead of one on one."

Jeremy Hunt said Biden "comes in with all these different stipulations: certain networks, certain timing, they even talked about the microphone, the microphone is going to turn off if you're not speaking...He clearly is trying to make sure that he stacks it all in his favor to give himself the best shot against Trump."

But Trump has famously said he would debate Biden "ANY TIME, ANYWHERE, ANYPLACE!" clearly unafraid of any challenge CNN would give him, or of any debate stipulations.
