You don't have any idea about Gold and Silver Mining, do you? It shows. LoL SMH

Some gold ore at the Roaster is double refractory. First, the gold is locked in sulfide mineral particles that must be oxidized to expose the gold for cyanide leaching (Autoclaves do this function effectively). Second, the ore also contains preg- robbing carbon that will collect solubilized gold in the leaching circuit if it is not removed (oxidized) first. Both of these problems are solved by roasting the ore at high temperature.

It'll take many, many years to permit a roaster and it will be very, very capital intensive. They are in a tough spot with all this refractory high grade silver they're finding. They need to use a roaster to get economical recoveries for all that silver and a roaster is the only way. POX recovery of sulfide silver will be in the 60% net recovery range (at best) due to Jarosite formation during autoclaving...even with a lime boil on the back end. Roasting is required for silver recovery, not preg robbing carbonaceous material. But what do I know... (this metallurgical statement was NOT plucked from 911 metallurgist)
