What transpired in April for Lithium Americas to collapse the share price when it originally doubled in March?

SP doubled on this news

Conditional Commitment for $2.26 Billion ATVM Loan from the U.S. DOE for Construction of Thacker Pass

Then it fell back on this news

Lithium Americas Announces Proposed Public Offering of Common Shares
GlobeNewswire APR 17, 2024 5:07 PM EDT
(All amounts in US$ unless otherwise indicated) VANCOUVER, British Columbia, April 17, 2024...

Gman- that Lithium America Huge financing with literally NO SP appreciation concerns me too...... but didn't you say earlier that there were some 'mitigating circumstances' in that case?? maybe they have toxic biohazard water or maybe their SPAC'lers structured the deal so that the stock would stay under $5 until they were ready to pop it to $30!! sounds like ours.... hahahahaha.....

Yaddda yaddda and freakin' yadddddy....

That's concerned me when Lithium America didn't move much on $2.3 billion.

Flashback to post 88752 from January, 2023 when Chico announced the DOE had loaned lithium producer Ioneer $700 million to build a plant in Nevada.

The stock surged on the announcement, and has basically fallen off a cliff since then.

My point: If and when NioCorp receives funding to build their mine, it's still no guarantee everything will work out long-term, as we see with Lithium America and Ioneer.

However, we are fortunate to not have all our eggs in a single element basket like those other guys, which is an important distinction.
