The "big scare" with OTC reverse mergers and "shell companies" had to to with unscrupulous players who would often pump & dump the stock, or intentionally mislead shareholders for their own benefit.

You mean like Sharp dumping his 20 million common shares (and then lying about never owning them) right before the fake "merger" was "revealed" that was actually that the deal had fallen apart because of a couple of mean social media posts.

Yes, that really happened. Hard to believe but true.
