why would one give up control of ones money to be locked up &
controlled by someone else??

If "they" control a market that I'm not in,..
if my money isn't in a situation where one is trapped in a no can sell gambit,..
if one's money isn't in a rigged system,..

Liquidity of funds & assets is the very definition of value of wealth,..let alone freedom.
Being locked in is,....being locked in.
Having a "million dollar" thing doesn't make one a millionaire if one can't sell it.

Bottom line,...it's only worth what someone is willing to trade for it.
My electrical services will be worth more when it gets cold,..or too warm,..

My freedom of money when I want/need it is the very essence of security.

perhaps someone that still can.
