Thanks. I think someone probably has fact checked what the employment status was for the original reporter actually was. Being an independent contractor if that was the status is not a full time employee to me. That's the point I was making.
I've seen too many pundits claiming working for such and such and they are just paid by the piece. The whole media employment thing is convoluted.

And no real accountability with all that as well.

I could claim I worked for CBS, but upon closer scrutiny would show I was a contractor/freelancer with CBS creds. But a regular person may think I'm a full time employee of CBS the network because all they see is my CBS badge and could only assume. Many of my ID's didn't state my status.

Whats the first thought if someone told you they worked two years full time for Fords? What choice would you have but assume ford worker and bennies.
When in reality they were hired by one of those work farms that pay a percentage of what they charge ford. And ford still comes out far cheaper. And the work farm takes a bigger chunk than what they pay the person.

A large amount of the media is like this now.
