As far as I know Authorised shares quantity doesn't usually change in the R/S unless management want them to

IF the rs goes through it would be the outstanding shares that are 2 million not the authorized ones. Also regardless the company, the reason, or even the direction of a split they all work the same. Whether forward or reverse the price change is always calculated exactly by the ration of the split (eg a 1 for 2 forward split will give twice the shares at half the price that it was the second before the split while in our potential case a 1000-1 reverse split would cut our shares by a multiple of 1000 while increasing the price it was the second before the split by the same multiple of 1000). The things that happen AFTER a split have nothing to do with the split itself but rather the reaction of the market.

That price tanks after an RS is one of those self fulfilling prophecies due to a combination of reasons

First it’s the generally bad reason(s) that companies split for. A bloated OS, delisting trouble , a need to raise money at a higher price etc etc etc

Then of course you have the sharky MMs and traders that see the blood in the water from peoples fears and capitalize on that with sell pressure that once again “proves” any RS is doom.

I don’t know what our future with this new company will bring, but I do know that if we have a long term crash (not a dip and rip like we’ve already had ) this alleged potential RS wouldn’t be any of the reasons for it. Think of a pizza cut in one (no slices) or 1000 slices. It’s still the same size pizza. It’s either good or it sucks but that will be based on the dough and the toppings , and not on the number of slices.
