#251346 RE: DewDiligence #251309

The folks and dealings associated with Aardvark's history just seem a little sus to me, although maybe there's really nothing there to be concerned about. I can understand there's a lot of back scratching that goes on in business in general, but... it just peaked my interest when i noticed the association with Sorrento's Henry Ji who's a bit of a controversial character in biotech especially during Covid-era and served on Aardvark's board of directors following the transaction Sorrento struck with Aardvark (https://investors.sorrentotherapeutics.com/news-releases/news-release-details/sorrento-therapeutics-and-scilex-holding-majority-owned) Also Vickers being one of Aardvark's Series A investors, Vickers involvement with $SCLX which was majority owned by Sorrento and brought public via Vickers Vantage spac. I can only assume Ji and Aardvark's founder/CEO Tien Lee met while Lee was at NantKwest (most of Aardvark's leadership team came from $NK now $IBRX). Remember that Scilex was majority owned by Sorrento prior to their coming public in 2022, and Tien Lee Aardvark's CEO joined Scilex bod in late Feb '19. This was 2 years ahead of ARD-301 licensing by Sorrento/Scilex... and then there's the whole Sorrento bk. There's just so much incestuous stuff going on here, and yet, maybe it says nothing about the legitimacy of Aardvark. IDK.
