The lead up to the point of sustainability is such a good read. One point that is being vastly overlooked is FCEL's advantage of location of production, on site, vs large scale H2 production storage and pipeline or tanker transport of hydrogen gas. An excellent source to understand the difference in local generation of H2 gas and use vs storage is

The properties of liquid hydrogen are not conducive to to storage. It is the smallest atom and can pass through other larger atoms that comprise the molecular structure of pipelines and containers. The closer to the point of use the better. Otherwise the losses from leakage become substantial and highly dangerous. Case in point the Hindenburg blimp. Whereas a tank of petroleum oil or gasoline under low pressure is likely to burn if ignited, liquid Hydrogen is oxidized violently, explosively.
