Fine, and that is the original quote and is NOT "misquoting". But here are FIVE times you changed that quote without noting you did:

misquote
an act or instance of quoting something incorrectly

Notice any difference between the SIX quotes (including the original)? I do.

You see, when you add EMPHASIS you should note that you did. [bold emphasis mine]. Not to mention sometimes using the "..." ellipes.

Ellipses. When you alter the quoted material in any way, you need to indicate to your reader that you have done so. Use an ellipsis of three dots ( ... ) to eliminate parts of a source you do not wish to quote. For material omitted at the end of the sentence, add a period to the three ellipsis dots.

There's also this, which I also, apparently, do incorrectly as I add what I did at the end of the quote but, at least, I note that I changed it. Unlike you.

Use square brackets to indicate changes to a quotation, such as adding words, explanations, or emphasis. To “emphasize a word or words in a quotation, use italics. Immediately after the italicized words, insert ‘emphasis added’ within square brackets as follows: [emphasis added]” (APA, 2020, p. 275). For example, “They [the judges] were convinced that the swimmer had missed the two-handed [emphasis added] turn.”

What you do is change the quote to suit yourself and never indicate you changed it at all!

Frankly, it wouldn't be so irritating if you weren't so annoying. Back on the iggy bus for you.

GL anyhow.

P.S. Now tag my post with a couple flags. That's clever also. lol
