Im not claiming to be a legal expert, but this was a jury trial. Me thinks this means the verdict can not be appealed per se, only legal procedures leading to the verdict. "If" Lambreth dotted his I's and crossed his T's and made sure the procedures were covered, then any/all appeals should fail.
There are 2 parts: The facts part. That was determined by the jury and is not appealable unless its "arbritrary and capricious". Legal portions, however, are appealable. Again, Im not competent to make legal opinions, mine is a lay opinion only.
Its too bad that Pagliara was hated on here, (right Wise man?) he may even offer a legal opinion for us. (He is a lawyer). Maybe wise man can post a list of people he hates on. Let's see. There is Pagliara..because he did not like what he said. Then, there is Navy Commander, because he did not like what he said. And, of course, he does not like me, because I defendend them. And, because he often quotes Carlos "Republicans against Trump", I assume he is a Trump hater too. That's 4 that I know about.
Some of your posts may be informative, wise man, if you would just keep the hate out of them. How necessary is hate to get your point across? Are we not intelligent enough to make good decisions, such as who to hate? As for me, I choose to hate: No one. Not even wise man.
I know a man who always looks for the good in men. Always. And he finds it. There is always good in somebody. But, you just have to look. If you tried, once, to look for that, you may find it, and, other may look for good in you, also. Forgiveness is great for your health no matter what your religion. Unforgiveness hurts you. Unforgiveness is like taking poison and somehow expecting that it will affect your enemy not you. Oh, you say your enemy does not deserve forgiveness? Maybe not. But you do, and you are the one you hurt with your unforgiveness not your enemy. He has gone on with his life, and probably thinks very little about you.
