Dead satellites falling to Earth could weaken its magnetic field

Under a worst-case scenario, they could even strip away part of our planet’s atmosphere.

Those are the findings of a new paper by physicist Sierra Solter-Hunt, who warns of the effects of dangers of growing satellite ‘megaconstellations’ such as those launched by Elon Musk’s SpaceX.

Ms Solter-Hunt suggests that ‘spacecraft dust’ from defunct satellites that burn up in the atmosphere may create enough magnetic dust to cut our planet’s protective shield in half.

The paper, yet to be peer-reviewed, reveals the growing volume of magnetic particles left behind from dead satellites could create a band of plasma dust with a charge stronger than the rest of the magnetosphere – the part of Earth’s atmosphere that protects us from solar radiation.

The net could create its own electrical charge and expose satellites to high levels of radiation and solar storms, as well as make it harder for rockets to launch new satellites and other spacecraft into space, as the magnetic particles could mess with the onboard electronics.

Guess its time to switch to non-magnetic materials like Si3N4 for satellites. Course its not satellite dust causing the weakening as shown below.
Weakening magnetic field means more radiation exposure for all those with metal implants! Hmmm...maybe we need Si3n4 implants which are not magnetic?

Weakening of the earths magnetic field

Furthermore, geomagnetic reversals due to the meandering of the earth’s central core are also the root cause of accelerated and more intense tectonic displacements, super volcanic aerosol emissions, tropospheric ozone depletion, increases in natural CO2 emissions, increases of solar irradiation at surface, atmospheric and tropospheric levels, and increases in GCRF and solar irradiation at all levels of earth atmosphere and surface.

Of interest to this paper is the fact that the highest flux of GCRF on record occurred during the
2006 solar minimum. In 2006 the earth’s magnetic field had weakened by 10% from normal. Normal, according to NASA, is an inconstant magnetic field of 0.5 Gauss by =/- 0.03 Gauss. A 10% decrease is -0.05 which is double the window of error. More current reports indicate that earth magnetic field has further deteriorated in the last 10 years to 15% of normal.

Here are some of the studies Dr. Pezzotti did before and after he joined Sintx Scientific board in 2015. You'll see multi-year consistent research into liners for use in hip implants, specifically relating to Biomet liners. This is not a comprehensive list but represents alot of work done by Dr Pezzotti on behalf of Biomet; part of the Zimmer-Biomet family of companies as of 2015.

2007
Confocal Raman spectroscopic analysis of cross-linked ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene for application in artificial hip joints

One new [Fig. 1(A)] and two retrieved cross-linked UHMWPE acetabular cups [Figs. 1(B) and 1(C)] were investigated. The two retrieved acetabular cups were obtained at the time of revision surgery from total hip arthroplasty. All the acetabular components investigated in this study were manufactured by Biomet Japan Incorporated (Tokyo, Japan). New acetabular components (ArCom®, Biomet Incorporated) were made from GUR 1050 bar stock by isostatic compression molding (with no addition of calcium stearate) and successive surface irradiation by a ? -ray dose of 33kGy

2010
Raman tensor analysis of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and its application to study retrieved hip joint components

The short-term retrieved acetabular components were both made of highly cross-linked polyethylene, manufactured from 1900H bar stock by isostatic compression molding (with no addition of calcium stearate) (ArComÒ, Biomet Japan Inc., Tokyo, Japan

2011
Structural profile of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene in acetabular cups worn on hip simulators characterized by confocal Raman spectroscopy

Thus, we compared acetabular cups made of two types of polyethylenes, the old ArCom® and new ArComXL™.

Two types of acetabular cups were examined, which were both manufactured by Biomet Inc., Warsaw, IN.

2012
In-Depth Oxidation and Strain Profiles in UHMWPE Acetabular Cups Non-Destructively Studied by Confocal Raman Microprobe Spectroscopy

One new and four retrieved cross-linked UHMWPE acetabular cups have been investigated. The four retrieved acetabular cups were obtained at the time of the re-spective hip arthroplasty revision surgeries. All acetabular components (ArCom ® , Biomet) were made from 1900H bar stock by isostatically direct compression molding and surface irradiated by a ? -ray dose of 33 kGy.

2014
Strain-induced microstructural rearrangement in ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene for hip joints: A comparison between conventional and vitamin E-infused highly-crosslinked liners

Three types of acetabular liners were analyzed, which had gone through a different manufacturing process. All liners had a diameter of 32 mm and were provided by Biomet Inc., Warsaw, IN, USA. One type of liner was the newly launched liner E1®, available on the international market since 2007. Another type of component belonged to a former generation of polyethylene, the brand ArCom®, which was clinically introduced in 1995 and it is currently commercially available.

2015
Environmental Stability and Residual Stresses in Zirconia Femoral Head for Total Hip Arthroplasty: In Vitro Aging versus Retrieval Studies

The 28?mm sized 3Y-TZP femoral heads (n = 3) were provided by Biomet Inc. (Warsaw, IN). These were manufactured by Saint-Gobain Desmarquest Inc. (Evreux, France). These heads were distributed with the trade name of Prozyr (currently out of market since 2001).

“Madg you continue to post disinformation which is why you attack me instead of addressing all the content.”

Posting your track record vs mine is not disinformation it’s stating facts. Your batting average is literally zero with this company. You believing zimmer has some agreement with sintx is your opinion, it is not a fact no matter how much you want to spin it as such. To the same extent, me believing that zimmer doesn’t have some secret agreement is my opinion.

Not rehashing this stupid argument though because you keep extending the time period for being right thereby never having to admit you got it wrong. I do not care, I’m entitled to my opinion based on the evidence as are you. Continue posting into the abyss.
