Let's face it, it's what is happening here:

They're cool with what's happening there and they even call it Spider Silk in documents specifying their yearning for the stuff.

Quit delaying the packing of those bags and just get it done already. Like pulling off the band-aid quickly! Just do it!

Looks like a silkworm yet spins spider proteins. Call it a spider or a silkworm…it’s a spider silkworm.

They have created a creature that has never existed before. And they have the power to alter the DNA sequences to produce what ever they like. It’s good if you keep up with the technology.

But as it is, the fibre that their Spider Silkworms spin is superior to any fibre ever noticed from actual spiders. Better than anything that has ever existed!!
It’s called the HOLY GRAIL of fiber!!

Get used to it…. Kraig Labs Dominates with their BETTER than Spider Silk fiber!

Wikipedia…….and this is the original breakthrough.

Mechanical properties….
Dragon silk has properties higher than that of any other fiber ever noticed.

Tensile Strength…..
Tensile strength of dragon silk is higher than that of steel (450-2000 MPa). The reported strength of dragon silk is as high as 1.79 GPa, which is 37% higher than the widely reported spider silk. Its tensile strength is higher than the "Big Red silk," which had been reported as the strongest fiber ever made. "Bid Red Silk" was developed in the same laboratories as dragon silk.

Flexibility…..
Dragon silk is far more flexible than Kevlar (the material used by US Army to develop body armor). Its flexibility is 38% higher than normal spider silk and is noticeably more flexible than the "Monster silk" from the same laboratory. In percentage, Kevlar's flexibility is 3% and dragon silk's flexibility is 30% to 40%.
