Yes seriously. I think you missed the point again. IT'S A PROCESS. The monetary win comes when the process is complete. If you invest in company A in May and it hasn't made money by August but it has made significant progress in developing it's widget, IP, whatever against extreme odds bucking the BIG Widget manufacturers beating them to the patent rights and successfully defending those rights in an IPR with the PTAB, that is a win even though no money will be made for years. That comes when the product is sold, licensed, combination of both after all hurdles have been overcome. Just because it hasn't made money on your artificially created timeline doesn't mean it won't, doesn't mean it can't and doesn't mean it's a bad investment. It's like you are conflating day trading with investing in your narrow argument. Are there no wins in baseball leading up to the regionals, division and league finals? It's a process.
