Fast - yes. No range issues? My friends who live in south Florida can't drive to Orlando with their Tesla. When I'm on the FL Turnpike getting gas, I see Teslas lined up charging their cars at the service station. That is not convenient in the middle of a trip.

No pollution? Keep believing that! The mining, constricriin and disposal of the batteries is very harmful to the environment- so its not fair to look only at what comes out of the tail pipe. Also, the generation of electricity comes from oil, gas and coal, all of which pollute. So that really is a bury your head in the sand perspective, that it doesnt pollute.

In general, EVs would be useful in urban areas. However, most folks in urban areas don't have a garage to charge them or the infrastructure to do so. Where do people who live in apartments charge them?Also wait until the batteries degrade and you are handed a bill of $20k-$25K to replace. Then the car has no resale value.

Owning an EV is a political statement by those who can afford an EV, that hey look at me I care about the environment, without really considering all of the facts.
