Great post! It's not a very 'loud' crypto/blockchain spring yet. We don't have a leader boasting insane revenue and 'user' growth, such as happened in the dotcom then social media bubbles. There is highly visible crypto coin appreciation such as Bitcoin in place of that, though. The inclusion of crypto in GS's description of the asset is new and noteworthy. IMO.
Blockchain is not BTC. ...and yes, it will take a few years to build out its eco system. It's still not ready for prime time due to hack exposure. Not until it is 100% hack-proof will industry accept its broad use. Getting to that point will take time. By 2025, we should gain greater visibility and can expect institutions willing to invest large sums.
The smaller companies that you seem enamored will come and go as the shake out process continues.
