In my professional career I put a qualification for lack of internal control in all my reports for small to medium companies.

Of course it is less risky to buy blue chip companies. Nobody will dispute that.
If succesful the multiple will
be much higher here.

If you do not want to run the risk stay away. it as simple as that.
