Everything you wanted to know about Circuit Breaker Trading Halts, but were afraid to ask!

This could help

https://www.iiroc.ca/news-and-publications/notices-and-guidance/guidance-market-wide-circuit-breakers#:~:text=Guidance%20on%20Market-wide%20Circuit%20Breakers%201%20Power%20for,Discretion%20to%20Authorize%20Resumption%20of%20Certain%20Trading%20

********************
An IIROC Trading halt was trigger by the events of the day!,
If the exact same or exact opposite trading events were to occur,(up/down) then it would get the same scrutiny. But that didn't happen!

They didn't feel compelled. They were compelled!

I remember a few years ago that management felt compelled to comment on a sudden increase in the share price, stating that there had been no disclosed insider information that would have justified this increase in share price.
According to this logic, shouldn't such PR be appropriate now when the price has moved very much in the wrong direction within a very short period of time?
Of course, this is just my personal opinion and anyone who can contribute more than just non-binding optimism blah blah is welcome to contribute reliable facts.
