Scanning for a Short Squeeze Essentially, there are three conditions that must be fulfilled:
1. The number of shares short should be greater than five times the average daily volume 2. The shares short as a percentage of the float should be greater than 10% 3. The number of shares short should be increasing
That set us off for a huge run, but that would be giving the store away on the cheap and dilute ownership would it not? That should have been the sign to sell before the accounting blunder since the offering was so much below the going price back then. Who ever thought we would blow through their $29 a share to where we are now. We also thought their board membership would help, but that also proved false.
