Seriously dude? You're new here, right? So you haven't been following this for 3 years.

All expectations were for a significant merger. A big company with significant revenue to actually buy the shell, and go public. When that didn't happen, of course there was a massive sell off.

If expectations were that GS was going to invest in another company for a portion of the equity, then yea, it wouldn't be that bad. But that was not what was expected. The reaction to the disappointing news was not surprising. And so, here we are.

I respectfully disagree with the premise of , " ... such a damaging PR..."
I'm still waiting for someone to post, what was so bad in that PR. (?)
