Maybe FCEL was selling p/o its dilutive 500,000,00 sh increase too.
to sayBlackrock sold for tax purposes is not the reason although they picked the right tax time to do it. . Remember they were the same institution so revered they were used as a reason to own FCEL shares.
They'll be selling more as the opportunity arises. So will FCEL.
They sold because thei're dressing up their fund and paring out their losers. They have to show their shareholders an effort to clean it up.

tax selling should have occured in Dec...but the first half of that month, the stock was flat...the second half, the pps rose to $1.80...and the vast majority of the sellin that brought it back down to $1.20 occurred in Jan where tax loss selling would no longer be a reason or an issue...

looks to me like fcel put out a few happy pr's in Dec that caused the pps to rise and blackrock sold into them...
