I could get Paxlovid, but I have no confidence in that Pfizer product that researchers are finding 10X higher reinfections than the company reports. I'm not going to let the doctor prescribe it for me.


I got a prescription for Paxlovid as soon as I tested positive on October 19. It worked well for me and I had no reinfection....but that is me. My daughter and her husband both used Paxlovid earlier last year and they had no issues with the drug or the disease (only mild symptoms). I double-checked with them before I reached out for my prescription. I'm 75 and they are 54. As of Friday, my labs still show my white blood cells and other immune measures have yet to pull above the bottom of the range since my CAR-T therapy in April. So, I certainly fall into the immunocompromised category.
