It would be interesting to look into the history of the FHFA creation - from the political and government agency insider perspective. I'm sure somebody saw the opportunity to rape America, really the GSEs. The TARP bailout, the housing collapse, FnF coffers and all that fresh new printed Fed money was obviously too much to resist. Face it, if they really had recovery and the American people in mind we wouldn't have this theft and corruption.
