The SEC gives a facade of regulation or false sense of gov't protection or regulation. These guys have the backing of the gov't. and if you get ripped , you are on your own. so do your on due deligence since 99% of stocks on the OTC is not investable anymore nor is a over 50% of nasdaq companies. even blue chips or the NYSE some of the tickers are corrupt. with untrustworthy management .
The public thinks the exchange and market is fair and orderly market. which is not the case in practice or reality in 2024. The stock market has many markets. Not all stocks are the same or regulated. Sarban Oxeley regulation doesn't apply to ADR if the company is not located in the US.
