The fact that the Ody 1000 is not DRM compliant is not an advantage to those who want to be able to download illegal free P2P MP3 files. It is DEFINITELY a disadvantage to those who want to legal music downloaded from the secure content sites.
Why is e.Digital dragging their feet in issuing a firmware upgrade so that the Odyssey 1000 can play DRM-secured content???
