Absolutely nothing wrong with dreaming.

(And I’m not saying you specifically) when unrealistic claims are made and made to look like those claims somehow mean it’s about NioCorp that creates very misleading expectations and some unknowing people will fall for it. Anything and everything that gets put out by the government or about REE’s does not revolve around anything NioCorp has done but in most cases those things get presented that way on here. Now if NioCorp was actually processing or producing anything then things might have more credibility as being somewhat NioCorp included.

We still do not know who that US steel company that was going to take the last 25% niobium offtake. Who knows??

Nippon Steel Corporation was formed in 2012 by the merger of the old Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal. The old Nippon Steel Corporation was established in 1970 by the merger of Fuji Iron & Steel and Yawata Iron & Steel. Nippon Steel is the world's third largest steel producer by volume as of 2019.

Somebody on this board was mentioning Sumitomo??

Looks like Nippon Steel likes niobium.

This pure speculation on my part. I really have no idea who the steelmaker is but there is a steel mill in Calvert Alabama built by ThyssenKrupp and purchased in 2014 by AM/NS. AM/NS Calvert is a 50/50 joint venture between ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel Corp. (NSC). In August 2020 they announced they would be making their own slabs instead of importing from Brazil (See post 64287). Groundbreaking for the expansion was in February 2021 and was expected to take 24 months. Not sure if it has been completed, or the current status.
