Seems the Govt gear turning slows from Turkey Day till after New Years. But who knows? From 2022 report below:

The year started off slow in DoD contracting, but as the month progressed, the award amount rapidly increased. January 31 placed on the top 10 list three times, with its top contracts totaling $2,854,950,963.00 on just one day. And that’s not counting the other contracts awarded on the last day of the month.
