Somewhere in my stashes of 'stuff' there are a bunch of Stage Deli postcards signed by many of the entertainers that came in there when I worked there in the late sixties.
Greeting Buddy Rich was a thrill for a drummer like me back then, when he signed one of the postcards.
His overall drumming creativity and lightning fast single stroke work was amazing, as shown at about 3:30 into this video of him soloing with his big band.
