I think Hamas knows that they're done in Gaza. Releasing the hostages isn't going to stop that. They're trapped behind a million civilians, and they misplayed that hand. Israel has always been willing to kill 50 thousand Arabs at the drop of a hat, and now there's a perfect excuse. I'd imagine if they aren't up to 50 thousand now, they soon will be. Starvation, disease and exposure will explode that number.

And while no one's looking the "settlers" can go after the rest of the West Bank. That's bonus points! (Why is no one willing to say radical Judaic terrorism? )

Such a simple answer to a complex problem that has been plaguing the Middle East for a few thousand years.

Nothing in life, especially in the Middle East can be easily resolved. Hamas is just going to release the hostages, now you have faith in Hamas. I don't think anything can be resolved in the Middle East. The three most powerful religions of the World are centered right there, and all of those countries that surround them have issues that have been evolving for centuries.

I am so pleased that you care about the hostages, I think the number is less than 150 at this point. Meanwhile the bombing, and battles keep occurring, and now:

https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/how-many-palestinians-have-died-gaza-war-how-will-counting-continue-2023-12-06/

Over 17,000 Palestinian's have died, but again you never mention these lives. Hamas might have started this latest conflict, but Israel still shares in the guilt of this war. If I have to explain it to you, then you truly need to start reading from many sources and keep doing it until you understand this region of the world.

I am also no authority on this latest conflict, nor am I actually taking sides. I am smart enough to know that it will not be solved in my lifetime. Israel might say they want to live with their neighboring countries, and there has been some progress. Netanyahu wants to keep expanding Israel, and he thinks he is in the right, and that only he knows the future of his nation. Unfortunately, he gets push back all over the place, and this latest War is not helping him, or his country show them in a positive light.

I could go all afternoon, but why bother, by tomorrow all of these views would be moot. Israel might have a long history, but when it comes to winning the PR war both here and around the world they keep losing.

Good idea. Israel have been jailing too many for crimes such as throwing rocks for years.
