Gotcha. The reason I bought the PRS is... I'll never be able to afford an old Les Paul. ( the new ones are not the same) so I got a foreign made PRS for a great price, put in a nice set of PAF clone pickups and had somebody who knows what they're doing set it up.
All for under 1k. And it gets the job done :)
A real Les Paul will set you back nowadays, 10k minimum.
