#40219 RE: Tesla thru the roof #40218

You know i would really like to know if ceramic coatings, like what Sintx has developed, could help reduce electrical fires and Hutchison Effect being seen in Tesla/EVs and transformers the way these coatings help reduce corrosion on pipelines. Sadly though, ceramic coatings used do not seem to last for pipelines and corrosion occurs regardless, albeit seemingly delayed. What if Si3N4 coating was superior ceramic to the coatings currently used? It does reduce metal implant corrosion in the body which is an electrochemical system. Who knows?

Tesla catches fire in Plano, owner says it started with battery

A Tesla caught fire at a home in Plano early Friday morning.

The incident happened shortly after midnight in the 2700 block of Sacred Path Road, near Preston Road and Tulane Drive. Officials said the fire started in the garage.

The car's owner told WFAA that they heard a hissing sound coming from the battery, which was installed Thursday. When the owner checked the car, flames were shooting from the battery and they called 9-1-1.

Brand new battery spontaneously combusts. Could be because the technicians that installed it did something wrong or this was a case of EM induced thermal runaway that is often referred to as a manufacturing defect when its not.
