That’s circular reasoning, no? You have to run the trial to find out if it works.

A surprisingly large fraction of even well educated, ‘smart’, public think RCTs are primarily just for getting past the FDA. Libertarian economists, Silicon Valley Bros, … I’ve even seen some biotech VCs behave this way. Knowing the drug works is some ‘smart person just knows’ thing, separate from RCTs.

No. First you have to have SOME kind of evidence that it works........lol

You don't just take some random drug and go through all the expense of a trial if you don't have SOME idea that it will work.......

The Trials are basically just to PROVE that it works.............

That's why it doesn't make sense to have a trial if you don't FIRST have some IDEA that it will work......lol
