Buylow2, that is actually a good question. I know of at least one individual who proposed this idea to Mr. McGovern prior to the Intel lawsuit, but got no response. One possible reason, in Mr. McGovern's defense, may have been that, because of Intel's ongoing challenges to the validity of HDC's patents at the USPTO and PTAB, he knew that no company would want to sign a licensing deal with a company whose patents were in question. This may be one of the main reasons why HDC finally sued Intel. Now that HDC's patents are ironclad, we can confidently approach other infringing companies with a licensing contract in hand.
