They have 3 choices...

1) Try to raise significant additional private funding for clinical trials
I doubt they can get big private bucks in this economy

2) Sell all their IP to a big pharma company with deep pockets
They may have been trying but probably no bites since clinical trials are still needed?

3) Go public and raise required capital for clinical trials and beyond.
The most likely scenario IMO
