No, that doesn't sound right fwiw.

I transferred $93k from a bank account into one of my etrade accounts last week. Free & essentially 'instant' (next day).

All my account numbers changed due to the MS-changeover, but otherwise I don't see any real differences.

Not sure where the confusion lies, but thought I'd chime in.
