Whoever starts making Torvec designed IVTs and other hardware, will start making money BEFORE the first production unit leaves the factory. First, whatever they put it in will be backordered by anyone NOT tied into some traditional subcontractor. Then everybody else will start buying them as soon as their contracts with transmission subcontractors run out. If they can. If they can't they will fumble with anything that gives a mileage boost, but the shortcomings of going THAT way should be apparent to anyone who has followed this board.

I am very confident about this projection based on compelling economics. Anyone who watched the Dodge Ram perform or looks at the acceleration tests on the dyno can see that the get up and go is there. Combine that with fuel efficiencies NO multi plate, multiple speed transmission can match and any OEM who DOESN'T buy manufactured units ASAP is at a huge disadvantage in the market place. Might not put them out of business, but they WILL see a drop in market share, and that INCLUDES the mighty Toyota. Who in their right mind will buy a Tundra if they can get a similar truck that gets 25 percent better mileage without even trying very hard.

The economics of fleet fuel savings will compel delivery services, municipal vehicles and school bus operators to buy and use the IVT. Too many stockholders or taxpayers will DEMAND they go there quickly. IMO. EOM.

Here is one that is more thought provoking.

"This could be one of the most important advances in automotive technology - ever," Charles Gray Jr., director of the Environmental Protection Agency's Advanced Technology Division, said during a presentation at Manchester Boston Regional Airport on Thursday.

Of course that statement was made in July, 2006.

What I liked most about it was, the guy who said it, and that he was talking about the technology that included technology that Torvec has invented and patented. I was glad to hear JG's comment in response to a shareholder's question about this hydraulic hybrid at this year's shareholder's meeting's Q&A session's.

Hope Dr. Gray is right.
I think that he is.
