Oh yeah, me too. I learned a big lesson about cashing out.
Here's my philosophy on that.
Everyone takes profit. I was under the impression that longs held, and stayed the course to see major profits in the future. What I realized, though, is that when these pinks spike, everyone takes a profit, thus dropping the stock back down to a realistic level. Once everyone notices that a stock is about to explode, they jump in, and then jump right back out, once their satisfied with their profit. After taking profit and seeing the stock drop, if you really believe in the company, you can buy right back in, back at the beginning, but with more cash.
Take chnw, I put a few grand in. When it's at .0008, I have fifteen grand. I could sell, and if chnw drops back to 03, or 04, buy back in, but with fifteen grand worth. That's how everyone does it.
I look at it this way. I started with less than tenK, and almost have twentyK, even with missing a tenK payday at rgno. If I can make tenK a month on the side, then I'm ahappy camper.
