#107173 RE: Bmrboy #107169

Bmrboy- I got out my short position yesterday, and

would be interested in a good long play. However a pink sheet stock, that does $30K/day in dollar volume, and might make me $2000 if I'm lucky doesn't interest me. Mind you, the big risk in KIK stocks in general is, the huge % you pay getting in and out of any position more than a few thousand. I mean, have you ever looked at the bid/ask spreads on most of his picks ! I don't remember the name, but the pink sheet that does imaging services for GE healthcare, had bid ask spreads of 5%-10% !

Bmrboy, what amazes me is, how few people, if any on this board, played the huge winners I've had through the years. Almost every stock I've mentioned on this board for the last 20 years has had sizable average dollar volumes of $500K-$100M/day, and the bid/ask spreads are generally less than 1/4 of 1%. Some notable winners in the last couple years were HZNP from $20 to $117. BGFV from $2.50 to $10, and from $20 to $32. These two were great winners, even though I've been mostly short this market since early 2018. Other winners that were life changing were AGM from $3(in 2008) to around $50(around 5 years later). UVE from $.20 to $1($2006), then from $5 to $10, Then from $4 to $11, then from $13 to $28. AAOI from $20 to $97(2017). Then there was BNGO a couple years ago from $3 to $15 in a few months. Then in 2004 there was CKCM(I believe), from $6 to $25 in less than a year). There were at least a half dozen more multibaggers including SUP, ADS, PEIX, INMD, and TOMZ.

Bmrboy, you do have a good point though, that I should start listening more to the board picks, instead of shorting this impossible rigged market. Problem is for me now, I have very little left playing in the market, as I have 90% in fixed assets. Personally I'd rather get 4%-5% in a risk free bond, than be in this market any day. Plus I think next year, rates will be 6%+ for 5 year Treasury Bonds. However with the 10% I do have in the market, I should maybe long a stock here and there.
